About the Event

The first Slam original music session with 3 Amazing bands! Electric Zebra, Honeygum and Claiming It Anyway at BBQ Bazaar.

Electric Zebra have supported a number of Australian and international acts (DZ Deathrays, British India, Cloud Nothings) as well as an array of festivals (Mountain Goat Valley Crawl, Shakafest, Valley Fiesta)

With three national headline tours and two well-received EP's under their belt (2016's "Ambition", 2018's "You're Sinking"), the band released their self-produced debut album "Confessional Sports" in 2019.

"Electric Zebra have been on a roll since their inception in 2014, and on their latest record, Confessional Sports, they’ve certainly hit a winning streak." - Emerge Radio

Honeygum Hailing from the home of bangin bands that is the sunny Gold Coast, Honeygum are an Australian indie/garage rock outfit who’ve been carved right out of their scenery. This retro-savvy group, formed in 2017, have developed a sound that is truly their own — taking influence from garage rock, post punk and britpop styles, the group’s corkscrew riffs and sandy crunch follow a rhythm section so groovy and tight that you’ll wanna pay for it twice.

This year, HONEYGUM have taken their live show — a must-see example of rock n roll attitude and charm — up and down the M1 earning the band support slots with the likes of out of town acts Port Royal, Wharves, VOIID and Beddy Rays, and fellow coasters Peach Fur, Electric Zebra and CAKES along the way.

Keep your ears pressed to the airwaves for tracks recorded at Bedlam Records with Electric Zebra's Keelan Sanders.

Claiming it Anyway BAND (CIA) is excited to be playing their first BBQ Bazar show as part of The Fool in Me Tour. A Series of rock n roll gigs celebrating CIA's 2nd studio record "The Fool in Me" coming out Feb 1st 2020.  This trio's sound will have you reminiscing of the great classic rock bands of the 70's as they rip though the new tracks with one of the most talented drummers QLD has to offer - oh yeah and he's 13.   CD's on Sale $10 and Tour Posters $5.
